How do I register / make my payment?

What is included with fee?

Your fee includes all course curriculum, 3 meals per day based on the retreat, all course materials, and accommodations as well as access to our Retreat Facilities (Spa, pool, hot tub, etc.).

 

How do I get to Liberty Arising?

Please fly into San Diego (SAN) no later than four hours before the beginning of your course. Contact rudrayogainfo@gmail.com to inquire about carpool and rides from the airport to Liberty Arising.

Driving Directions : 

From I-5 in the San Diego area or Los Angeles:

  • Take I-8 East and drive approximately 65 miles to the Boulevard exit #65. You will pass Pine Valley (approximately 20 miles before the Boulevard exit), the Live Oak Springs exit (look for the Golden Acorn Casino). Take the very next exit at Boulevard.

  • Turn right at the bottom of the ramp, go through the stop sign (Hwy 94/Old Hwy 80). Once you cross this intersection, you are on Jewel Valley Rd. Continue to the end of the road (approximately 3 miles).

  • You will see our white fence on your left and 1585 posted on the left gate post. Drive through the double-door, white, iron gate (soft left off the dirt road, across from the mailboxes), pass the first set of buildings, continue down the dirt road bearing right.

  • You will see a parking area on the right side of the road, across from the pump house and three water storage tanks. Continue down this road.

  • When you see the Buddha’s eyes, you have arrived!

  • Take your belongings up the outside wood steps to the second floor. You can drive all the way down to the Shala (retreat house) to unload your belongings. Then please drive your car back to the circular parking area across from water tanks. 

From 8 West, Arizona

  • Take I-8 West  to the Boulevard exit #65, tem miles west of Jacumba

  • Turn left at the bottom of the ramp, go through the stop sign (Hwy 94/Old Hwy 80). Once you cross this intersection, you are on Jewel Valley Rd. Continue to the end of the road (approximately 3 miles).

What are the Accommodations?

Accommodations are camping, dorm, or private room, based on your selection at the purchase of retreat. Private rooms are given to families with children, then couples, then individual participants on a first come first serve basis.

Camping participants are required to bring all their camping supplies, dormitory participants are required to bring blankets. Sheets and pillows are provided in the dormitory. All bedding is provided in private rooms.

 

Is teacher training available?

 

Teacher Training is not currently available.

What should I bring?

  • Layered clothing for warm and cold weather including a hat, scarf and mittens in the winter

  • Flashlight or headlamp

  • Meditation shawl or blanket

  • Sealed water bottle

  • Environmentally friendly bathing products (including lotions and deodorants) We do offer a 3 in 1 bathing soap.

  • Notebook & pen (& practice materials)

  • Sun protection (hat, lotion, sunglasses)

  • Clock (so you’ll be on time to class)

  • Hiking or walking shoes

  • Work clothes & gloves (when appropriate)

  • Slip-on shoes

  • Bathing suit (bathing deck is clothing optional)

  • Indoor slippers or warm socks in cooler weather (no shoes allowed in the Shala)

  • Bedding (top sheet and pillow provided in dormitory)

  • Towel

  • Earplugs (if disturbed by snoring)

  • Musical instruments

 

Can I bring my dog?

No. Liberty Arising does not allow participants to bring dogs. We have resident pets who sometimes visit the Retreat Shala. If you require a Service Dog please send an email to info@libertyarising.org.
